He began as a prosecutor in New York and Florida, trying complex fraud, public corruption, and violent-crime cases, and he now represents clients in significant personal injury and wrongful death matters. Over the past five years, his trial and settlement work has recovered more than $250 million for people seriously harmed by negligence and corporate misconduct.
Biography
Mr. Gerard began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in New York City and later served as a federal prosecutor in Florida. He led complex trials involving fraud, public corruption, and violent crime, work that shaped the disciplined approach he brings to catastrophic injury litigation today.
He now focuses on high-exposure personal injury and wrongful death cases. Over the past five years, his trial and settlement work has recovered more than $250 million for victims of serious injury and corporate misconduct.
Beyond his own trial practice, Mr. Gerard trains lawyers across the country on deposition technique and litigation strategy. He serves as faculty for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and regularly presents on trial skills and case theory development. He is also a partner at Sorrels Law.
